WYOMING – YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Norris Geyser Basin

Notes: Because of the extensive trails and boardwalks here, Norris Geyser Basin is a good place to purchase and utilize one of the inexpensive National Park Service Trail Guides for this area. With its many geysers, springs, pools, and vents, Norris is one of the hottest and most active hydrothermal areas in the Park. In the Porcelain Basin section, Black Growler Steam Vent lives up to its name. Also, Whirligig and Constant Geysers are worth trying to see in action. In the Back Basin area, Emerald Spring and Vixen Geyser are two noteworthy features.
