Analysis Paralysis

When you look at a nature photograph, is it important that you first understand what type of camera was used, the shutter speed, or the aperture? I certainly hope not. When I see an image of the outdoors, even though I’m “in the business” so to speak, my first thought is to be amazed at God’s creation with its incredible diversity and awesome handiwork:

MAJESTY

Upper and Lower Yosemite Fall, cow parsnip - from Cook’s Meadow, Yosemite Valley, Yosemite National Park, California

INTRICATE DETAIL

Lined sea star, shells - Tigertail Beach, Collier County, Florida

WONDER

Rainbow - from Twin Rocks Pullout, Capitol Reef National Park, Utah

BEAUTY

Reflection inside a sea cave - Face Rock Wayside, Oregon

Similarly, I’m so grateful that when God’s grace is given to me, I don’t have to understand how it works or everything that is behind it. Instead, I can just accept it and also know I am blessed to have it imparted to me.

P.S. For those of you who won’t be able to sleep tonight without knowing the details:
