WYOMING – GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK – Oxbow Bend

Photo Experience:   The Oxbow Bend Turnout is a well-known spot for sunrises and sunsets. Good vantage points of the Snake River can be found at the west end of the paved parking area or by walking down to the water’s edge. I chose the latter. I was there for both a sunset and then the sunrise the next morning. Of these two times, sunset was, far and away, the better opportunity.

Other Info:   Mornings can be quite chilly. (It was 28 degrees F. when I was there for the sunrise in September.) Dress appropriately.
