FLORIDA – SARASOTA – Marie Selby Botanical Gardens

Notes: Marie Selby is a horticultural delight. We have enjoyed seeing the many extraordinary and colorful examples of flora along the easy-to-navigate paths. The Tropical Conservatory contains many varieties of native and exotic orchids. High up in one of the Red Silk Cotton trees towards the water is a nesting pair of ospreys that has been present every time we’ve visited. The Banyan Grove is home to several large banyan trees with their interesting limb and root structures. The Gardens are located at 811 South Palm Avenue in Sarasota. Hours are 10 AM -5 PM, daily. An admission fee is charged.
