WYOMING – YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK – Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone

Photo Experience:   If you can only visit one spot in the Canyon area, I recommend Artist Point, a short walk from the end of South Rim Drive. The view of Lower Falls and the canyon from here is excellent. Morning is the best time to be here. A zoom lens can be quite valuable here in capturing different views at this iconic location. North Rim Drive, on the other side of the Yellowstone River, offers numerous viewpoints, each of which provide a slightly different perspective of Upper Falls, the canyon and the river. Because of the limited number of spaces available at the various overlooks, parking can be challenging. Therefore, getting an early start in your exploration of this area would be a good idea.
