CALIFORNIA – ENCINITAS – San Diego Botanic Garden

Photo Experience:  My wife and I enjoyed spending most of a day here, exploring the many trails and viewing the varied and abundant flora. I found closeup lenses and a short telephoto lens to be most useful in this location.

Other Info:   It is not at all unusual in this region to find something with “San Diego” in the name that is not actually within the city limits of this large southern California city. And, my wife and I were actually glad to be away from the crazy-busy traffic in the metropolis. Both an admission fee and a parking fee are charged at the Garden. Although there are two picnic areas here, we choose to drive a short distance back into Encinitas for a lunch-time sandwich. There are a number of accommodation options and restaurants in Encinitas.
