FL – NAPLES – Lowdermilk Park

Location: FL  –  NAPLES  –  Lowdermilk Park
Directions: Just west of the intersection of Gulf Shore Blvd and Banyan Blvd
Misc. Info: Make sure you park in the appropriate spaces; most of them are reserved for beach permit holders. Note your parking space number and pay at the kiosk, which does accept Visa and Master Card. In the shaded, grassy area west of the parking area are several picnic tables. To the east of the parking area is a small pond where an occasional wading bird can be seen. There are restrooms and showers in buildings between the parking area and the beach. Cross over the dunes to get to the beach. A pleasant place to spend some time!
Date of Visit: Mid January 2013
Conditions: Mostly Sunny with a few clouds
Time of day: Afternoon and Evening
Photography: Shells will be most plentiful towards the north end of the beach and at low tide. I tried getting down low for a different perspective. A telephoto lens will help with shore birds which frequent this area. And, with a few clouds, sunsets can be very nice.
