CA – YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK – Soda Springs Trail

Location: CA – YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK – Soda Springs Trail
Directions: There are actually two trailheads for Soda Springs on Tioga Road. One is at Shuttle Stop 4. The other one is further west, just east of the turn-off for the Tuolumne Meadows Visitor Center. This latter trailhead is the one that I used.
Date of Visit: Mid June 2013
Conditions: Full sun
Time of day: Late morning
Photography: This three-quarters mile trail (one way) is an easy, level walk. In addition to seeing the naturally-carbonated cold springs, this trail also provided photo opportunities that included Indian Paintbrush, views of Cathedral Peaks (right top), stones in the Tuolumne River (left), and a Belding ground squirrel (right bottom).
